Tractors a deadly problem for farmers
2 Feb 2005

Farm tractors remain the deadliest piece of equipment on farms in Queensland, claiming the lives of 28 people between 1990 and 2000, mainly due to roll-over or back-flip situations. Most tractors involved in fatal accidents did not have rollover protective structures fitted. Queensland regulations now require most wheeled farm tractors be fitted with protective structures. There is also a growing problem with four-wheeled all terrain vehicles.
