Fonterra may offer more for National Foods

New Zealand's Fonterra may yet seek to pay more for dairy processor National Foods than the current best offer from San Miguel. Fonterra asked the board of National Foods for the right undertake due diligence. The board of National Foods has recommended the offer from San Miguel. Fonterra, however, owns 19 per cent of NatFoods, and began the takeover battle back in November.
