Golden Circle turns to B&B for a lifeline
28 Feb 2005

Golden Circle, the Queensland-based fruit and vegetable growers cooperative, is negotiating to sell up to 30 per cent of the company to a private equity fund managed by Babcock & Brown. B&B would extend convertible loans to Golden Circle. Golden Circle, who’s main products are beetroot and pineapple products, suffered from flagging sales and high debt. Growers will meet next month to vote on the B&B investment.
