Grain and poultry farmers on Suncorp priority list

Suncorp said it wanted to lend more to farmers operating in the poultry sector, most of whom raised chickens in Victoria rather than the bank’s home base in Queensland. The bank, which wants to develop industry expertise in many more segments of agriculture, said it also wanted to lend more to farmers growing grains and seeds, to complement the bank’s current focus on cattle and sugar farmers.
