Banks circle cotton producer
1 Jul 2008

National Australia Bank and Suncorp have given the Cubbie group until the end of 2008 to find extra funds to shore up their balance sheet. The group is seeking $100 to $150 million in funding. 2008 is the third year in a row that the Cubbie group has recorded a loss. Drought has prevented the cotton producer from planting for the past two years.
