AWB and GrainCorp create JV

AWB and GrainCorp have formed a joint venture to manage the logistics of exports from Australia's east coast. The JV is designed to improve co-ordination of the grain export task, increase efficiencies and lower supply chain costs to improve the competitive position of Australian grain growers in the global market, the companies said in a statement.
The JV will be incorporated and comprise a small number of expert staff operating separately from its parent companies.
Detailed proposals for the JV have been submitted to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for final approval.
