Extra $1.4m for Vic drought fund
29 Jun 2004

Country Victorians affected by the long drought will receive extra funds from the State Government, Premier Bracks has announced. An extra $1.4 million has been put into Victoria's drought recovery program. The additional funds will be used to provide food relief and counselling services, promote health in country towns and train community development officers.

Mr Bracks said the effects of drought are most readily associated with farmers, but there are many other aspects of rural life which are also affected.
