Farmers and greens wrangle over land clearing
21 Jan 2005

Farmer organisations and environment lobbies are dissatisfied with a model being used by NSW bureaucrats to guide decisions on which areas of vegetation farmers may clear. The NSW Farmers Association said the model treated every landscape as a potential habitat for threatened species. The Total Environment Centre said they were sceptical that any ban on broadacre land clearing would be implemented.
