Steep decline in wheat and barley production expected

Production of wheat is forecast to decline around 35 per cent to 16.4 million tonnes, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Research Economics said. Barley production is also forecast to drop 41 per cent to around 5.8 million tonnes, and canola production is predicted to drop to about 775,000 tonnes.
