Horses allowed to travel in NSW 29 Feb 2008
Quarantine restrictions have been lifted in NSW after the state was declared free of the equine influenza virus. The state's Primary Industries Minister, Ian MacDonald, said that the decision had been made after tens of thousands of tests since the outbreak began six months ago and no EI infected animals can be found today. The only other state still affected is Queensland which doesn't have any infected properties on record but is maintaining its restrictions on horse movements for now.
