Rail focus for WA
20 May 2008

Grain farmers in WA have come out in support of Co-operative Bulk and Handling's plan to take control of transport, storage and handling for the state. The WA Farmers Federation say that the plan will rationalise the existing rail networks and make them more efficient. Rail companies ARG and Westnet also support the plan, saying that if the government does not invest in the rail network there will be a shift towards moving grain by road which would discourage future investment.
