Emergency measures extended for Murray-Darling
21 Jul 2008

Strict rationing of water drawn from the Murray and Darling rivers will continue, with water used only for people rather than for agriculture and irrigation. At this stage estimates are that the river system contains enough water to meet the needs of towns for the rest of this year and the first half of next year.
