Late season water gets expensive
24 Jul 2008

Late season water prices on the Victorian Watermove exchange have risen from around $200 per megalitre in January to about $550 per megalitre in June. One of the Murray Darling Basin’s largest water brokerages Waterfind says 67,000 megalitres was traded last month for an average price of $522 per megalitre, up 22 per cent since May. Waterfind says many buyers were scrambling to secure water held over from last season.
