Dairy farmers need to pick bulls carefully

Dairy farmers should ensure they breed their cows with bulls proven under Australian conditions says Genetics Australia chairman Colin Gardiner. This was crucial because the local milk-payments structure was different to other countries he said. A Tasmanian farmer said the continual improvement [in herd genetics] has been underestimated by the industry.
