Graziers cash in on wind
15 Aug 2008

Cattle farmers will receive $10,000 per turbine per year from the proposed wind farm in Queensland''s South Burnett region. The farm will be the biggest wind operation in the southern hemisphere with 252 turbines providing power for 320,000 homes on 12,000 hectares of cattle country between Kingaroy and Dalby. The Coopers Gap wind farm is one of twelve that Investec plan to build across rural Australia. The wind farm had received no community objections.
