AWB still out in the cold 8 Sep 2008
The Wheat Export Authority has granted export licenses to another six companies, taking the total accredited for wheat export to 11 so far. Industry experts expect that number to climb to about 20 within weeks. AWB is not among the companies accredited to export Australian wheat. Graincorp and ABB have both gained licenses and say they are read to export wheat now. Concordia Agritrading, Marubeni from Japan and Louis Dreyfus are other companies to be accredited last week. The Wheat Export Authority says there is no limit to the number of licenses that can be issued.
