ABB opens Adelaide grain container port 28 Oct 2008
ABB Grain has opened the first stage of its new container precinct in Port Adelaide. The company says the $5.6 million facility will allow it to pack 80–90 containers per day with about 2,000 tonnes of grain. ABB hopes to pack 600,000–700,000 tonnes of grain per year at Port Adelaide. General Manager of ABB subsidiary Prograin Norm Lee said many overseas customers now preferred to receive grain in containers.
