Top end cattle stations selling for top dollar
2 Dec 2008

Northern Territory grazing property prices have increased 30 per cent per year every year between 1999 and 2007 according to agents. There are now a number of high profile stations on the market in the top end with asking prices that reflect strong growth in land values. The currently high asking prices for prime cattle station properties in the Northern Territory and Western Australia is not warranted says Heytesbury Beef chief executive Paul Holmes a Court. Meat & Livestock Australia says proximity to Darwin is one factor driving up prices.
