Transport safety will drive up prices
22 Feb 2006

Safe driving plans proposed by the union for long-haul truck drivers would increase the cost of groceries say employers. The Transport Workers Union says the award should require safety training for drivers and clear and fair drug and alcohol policies. Last year one quarter of all transport workers were involved in accidents and 72 people died in heavy vehicle accidents.
