Immigration raids common in the mallee
14 Feb 2005

The National Party attacked the Immigration Department for the manner in which the department searched for allegedly illegal workers on a fruit farm in the Victorian mallee district. Immigration officers forced entry and broke doors and windows in a 4am raid. Immigration raids happen about once a week in the mallee.
