More farmers chase organic produce niche
22 Feb 2005

Biological Farmers of Australia said it estimated that the organic foods industry increased by 30 per cent last year. BFA research shows there were 2,200 recognised organic farmers, compared with fewer than 500 in 1990. There are 720 processors and marketers in Australia, up from 50 in 1990.
