Golden Circle back in the black
10 Mar 2005

The Golden Circle's beetroot and pineapple co-operative returned to profit in the December 2004 half year, with a profit of $7.4 million. The company reduced the number of product lines early last year and concentrated more on the basic processing of fruit and vegetables. The co-op’s owners agreed to a $50 million investment by a fund managed by Babcock & Brown, and may list on the stock exchange in the next few years.
