Tully banana growers cleared of disease

North Queensland banana growers are waiting for the Queensland government to declare the Tully region free of the exotic disease black sigatoka. The government removed the remaining restriction on interstate transport of bananas a month ago. Farmers last found evidence of the disease more than three years.
