Citrus growers freed in SA 14 Jul 2005
South Australia’s parliament changed the Citrus Industry Act, with the state government to provide growers with the same marketing arrangements that apply to other horticultural industries. Currently growers are forced to sell to packers, packers are forced to sell to wholesalers and so on. The changes mean the citrus industry will be on an equal footing with other horticultural industries.
