Orchardists get together

Two Victorian orchardist organisations have merged to strengthen their voice in championing fruit growers rights. The Northern Victoria Fruit Growers Association and the Orchardists and Fruit Coolstores Association have combined to form the 250-member Fruit Growers Victoria. Together their members account for about 30 percent of Australia's stone fruit production, 70 percent of pears and 30 percent of the nation's apples.
