China open to Aussie citrus 31 Oct 2005
The Australian government has negotiated access to China for citrus. The Chinese import protocol allows for in-transit, cold treatment of citrus under a regime that Australian exporters are already meeting with other markets. Australian and Chinese quarantine authorities will now move quickly to implement the protocol's operational arrangements. This should enable the trade to begin before the end of the current season, with the full benefits to be realised next season.
