E.Coli common in imported vegetables
14 Nov 2005

The federal government said that 14 of 97 imported vegetable types tested by AQIS were found to be contaminated with E.coli, with two other samples also testing positive for pesticide residue. Horticultural groups also suspect Chinese pickled vegetables contaminated with parasitic worms are entering the country, after South Korea recalled all Chinese pickled vegetables.
