Kiwi apple imports likely
2 Dec 2005

Australia will not allow the import of any apples from New Zealand into Western Australia, but NZ apples may be allowed for import into eastern Australia. Biosecurty Australia said WA was free of apple scab or black spot and that there were no risk management measures to address this disease except for a complete prohibition on access. New Zealand and Australian authorities will now work on conditions for the import of Kiwi grown apples.
