Goulburn Valley growers get no help from state

Four years of natural disasters in “Victoria’s fruit bowl”, the Goulburn Valley, have left many growers facing financial ruin, but their pleas for assistance were rejected by the state government who said that natural disaster relief was a federal responsibility. Recent hailstorms have caused widespread damage to orchards in the region.
