Potato farmers may withhold supply to McCain’s
15 Mar 2006

Attempts to negotiate an agreement between McCain’s and Ballarat potato growers through the grocery industry ombudsman have failed. Growers may withhold supply from McCain’s over the processor’s plans to cut payments by $3 per tonne to $227. McCain’s has also refused to pay for extra on-farm storage.
