Bendigo irrigators to get pressurised water
29 Mar 2006

Three hundred kilometers of irrigation channels in the Bendigo region will be replaced by pressurized water pipes over the next fifteen years said Coliban Water. The plan will save 3000 megalitres of water currently lost to evaporation and leakage and provide year round water security to apple, wine and other fruit growers. The $60 million plan will be completed in five stages with the channel systems in Harcourt and Cockatoo Hill the first to be converted.
