Receiver appointed to Back O’Bourke Fruits
11 May 2006

Back O'Bourke Fruits has been placed on the market by a receiver following severe drought in north-western NSW. Accountancy firm PPB said Back O'Bourke was adversely affected by the drought conditions in the Bourke region. Back O'Bourke sells table grapes, melons, mandarins and oranges domestically and exports them to east Asian markets. The company's 935 hectare property consists of 104 hectares of citrus and 135 hectares of table grape vines and has an irrigation system with a licence for 4,100 megalitres of water.
