Tax time stimulates agribusiness investment
31 May 2006

The approaching end of the financial year is generating strong investment flows into tax-advantaged agribusiness schemes. Analysts expect up to $1.4 billion in new money to flow into such schemes, up almost 40 per cent from the 2005 financial year. Most agribusiness investment schemes relate to timber plantations, though some now cover wine grapes, almonds and apricots.
