Fruit fly warning
14 Jun 2006

A fruit fly outbreak has been detected in a quince at Barnawartha, near Albury and a 15 km suspension zone has been created around Barnawartha, Chiltern, Cornishtown and Browns Plains, preventing the movement of fruit. The Department of Primary Industries is urging residents in the region to collect and bag any fruit left on the ground. The outbreak is not expected to have a commercial impact.
