Frosts freeze citrus exports 22 Jun 2006
Severe frosts have delayed citrus harvests and led to fears that crop damage will run into losses of millions of dollars. Temperatures as low as -11 degrees in the Sunraysia have led to oranges freezing on trees. The Riverland has also been badly affected, but the Riverina areas have so far been spared. There are concerns that export orders will not be able to be filled.
