FNQ farms still seeking help cleaning up after cyclone

Operation Farm Clear, a partnership between the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries, the Department of Employment and Training and industry, said 250 far north Queensland farms affected by Cyclone Larry received assistance in clearing the mess. The 250 clean-ups to date had taken place on 96 cane, 63 horticulture, 51 dairy and 40 beef farms in region around Tully and Cairns. Another 400 clean-up jobs are yet to be tackled. Cyclone Larry hit the region in February.
