Mandatory code for horticulture sector
20 Sep 2006

Federal cabinet agreed to introduce a mandatory code of conduct for the horticulture industry, acceding to industry and National Party lobbying. Cabinet had earlier favoured a voluntary code. The code will apply to growers, agents and markets but not to retailers such as supermarkets.
