Vegetable prices rising fast
12 Dec 2006

AusVeg said it expected “serious shortages” of vegetables and said retail prices may rise 30 per cent in the two weeks to Christmas. AusVeg said prices may double by the end of January. Retail prices of bread and eggs are also rising in line with the higher cost of grain for farmers.
