Apple and pear growers need to join forces
29 Mar 2007

A new study has found that Australian apple and pear growers need to work together to counter the threat from New Zealand and South African suppliers, which will also help growers to capture market opportunities and reduce production costs. The study on the Australian pome industry was carried out by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries agribusiness development officer Katrina Buxton. The study found it would be easier to implement and enforce quality assurance systems with great collaboration.
