Wild weather here to stay 4 Jul 2007
Floods in Victoria may be slowly receding but residents are being warned of more rain and gale-force winds later this week. Farmers have said that the flooding could cause an increase in prices of vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and lettuce which have been wiped out by the deluge. The Victorian Premier Steve Bracks said that people need to get used to the extreme weather with the CSIRO forecasting more bushfires and, while the number of floods may not increase, the intensity will.
