Most farmers underinsured against fire

While most farms were insured, up to 90 per cent were underinsured in the event against losses caused by bushfire according to CGU. Most do not have cover for fence replacement, agistment and additional feed whilst they got back on their feet and may have to factor in additional labour, machinery hire costs and recent price hikes for building materials such as steel said the insurance company.
