Free NLIS information days for Qld producers 4 Aug 2003
A number of free information forums are being held in Queensland in August to show beef and dairy producers how the National Livestock Identification Scheme can help to enhance on-farm productivity and animal traceability.
The forums and on-farm demonstrations are being held in Augathella, Rolleston and Longreach. They will allow producers to see how the technology works and discuss issues with equipment manufacturers, database operators and policy makers.
The locations, dates and starting times of the forums are:
* Augathella, Augathella Cultural Building , Monday, August 11, 9.30am for 10am start.
* Rolleston, Planet Downs, Wednesday, August 13, 9.30am for 10am start.
* Longreach, Longreach Pastoral College, Friday, August 15, 9.30am for 10am start.
Each workshop will begin with a morning information session, followed by a practical afternoon demonstration at a nearby property.
