Pigmeat import permits stand
21 Jun 2005

The federal government said 83 permits to import pigmeat would stand, in spite of a Federal Court ruling that one other permit must be set aside. Australian Pork, an industry lobby, says the court ruling means the government must set aside all import permits. But the government says the court intended only that the licence held by Fayman International be set aside.
