Wasting disorder suspected at two piggeries
7 Jul 2005

Department of Agriculture veterinarians in New South Wales and South Australia are investigating two suspected outbreaks of post-weaning multi-systemic wasting disorder at piggeries in each state. The results of tests from the two suspect piggeries won't be finalised until later this week. As part of its standard disease response procedures, the Department of Agriculture has imposed movement controls on the herds. There appear to no links between the two incidents.
