Genetic databases may merge
8 Jul 2005

Lambplan, the genetic improvement service, may be privatised and merged with Merino Genetics Australia, which is operated by Meat and Livestock Australia. Lambplan said the boards of MLA and Australian Wool Innovation had decided to review the prospects for commercialisation of the two services in 2009. Lambplan and Merino Select are industry databases on sheep stock.
