EG Green reopens with shorter shifts
26 Aug 2005

Producers who sell livestock to the administrator of embattled beef processor E.G Green and Sons will be guaranteed payment, and will not join the list of creditors. After a two-week shutdown and reported debts to creditors totalling $44 million, the Harvey plant is earmarked to reopen on Monday, under administrators Ferrier Hodgson. It will open on a five-day working week basis, instead of a seven-day week previously needed to process 3500 head
