Elders front runner for Harvey beef

At least four parties, including the Green family, are seeking to buy Western Australia’s biggest beef producer and exporter, E.G. Green and Sons. Elders may be the frontrunner for the business. Another offer is from Tasman Group Services, of Victoria. The administrators from Ferrier Hodgson said they would make a recommendation to creditors in mid November. Greens, which trades as Harvey Beef, is now slaughtering 3000 head a week.
