Visual tracking system for sheep
27 Oct 2005

The Sheepmeat Council said it would adopt a visual identification, rather than an electronic system, to identify sheep and goats. An electronic system is used for cattle.

A trace-back process will be supported by paperwork, and by the vendor declarations.

The system won’t be fully adopted until 2009.
