Its not Roo meat, its Australus
20 Dec 2005

The “Skippy syndrome” is holding back human consumption of kangaroo meat, with most of the 3.9 million kangaroos culled this year to be fed to dogs. “Australus” is the winning entry in a food industry competition to come up with an appealing culinary name for Kangaroo meat. The competition was inundated with entries from the public and from 40 other countries including kangarly, maroo, rooviandee, marsupan jurru and ozru.
