Live exports down
22 Feb 2006

Australian live cattle exports declined 10 per cent during 2005, continuing the downward trend of the last three years. Indonesia was the biggest buyer of Australian live cattle with other major buyers, China and Malaysia dropping heir orders significantly. Exports to Japan and Israel were up and Mexico doubled its spend on Australian cattle, mostly dairy, in 2005.
